What is the problem you are trying to solve? :

Unrecovered plastics and the lack of recycling facilities on Vancouver Island that can process post-consumer (PCR) plastics into new products.
What is your solution? :

Flipside Plastics increase the use of PCR plastics in British Columbia through a circular economy model. Currently, all plastic waste collected on Vancouver Island is shipped off-island for processing. This process contributes to climate change and is a lost opportunity for creating products from waste that could serve the local community.
What is the intended impact you are aiming for? :

For plastic waste created on Vancouver Island to stay on the island and be recycled into new design-rich products that serves the local community.
