We are trying to solve textile waste and plastic pollution
We divert and remake textile waste into everyday lifestyle prododucts; such as reusable produce bags, tote bags, unpaper towel, Cutlery kits, etc. These items are also designed to reduce plastic pollution and inspire a reusable lifestyle. With our scraps we use those to make dog beds for another Edmonton based company. We get our textiles from our textile recycling program which right now gas 5 drop off locations.
We are aiming to keep textiles away from landfills or being shipped overseas. Textile "waste" is a resource of materials that can be reused over and over again. Making them into zero waste products is another way for us to join in the fight against single use plastic pollution and to create a circular economy.
Canada’s progress toward a circular economy is dependent on the support given to business who embrace these essential principles.
~ Design out waste and pollution
~ Keep products and materials in use
~ Regenerate natural systems
