A film screening of the movie “2040” – October 22 to November 28, 2024

 To celebrate Circular Economy Month, join us to watch the film “2040”. Your feedback will contribute to a collaborative discussion generating the design of messaging to support adoption of the circular economy.

Circular Economy Month is powered by the Circular Innovation Council (CIC), Canada’s public awareness campaign dedicated to educating and empowering Canadians to support an economy that delivers on the most important values of Canadians: protecting the planet and prioritizing people.

This film screening is a CIC event and we encourage you to celebrate watching the film and learning about the circular economy by going to their website to take the pledge by the end of Circular economy month on October 31.

weRcircular’s contribution is to understand the impact this film has on your climate action strategy and support you moving forward with several simple take away messages to support your organization’s communication about the circular economy.

We are hoping that both individuals and organized climate action groups will participate. If your group members experience this film together it will promote inspiring discussion that aligns
with your climate action strategy.

If you are an organized Climate Action group…

Existing Climate Action groups are an impactful way for us to deliver this event in communities. The group leaders of each organization can assist in the marketing of the event to their members, their community and supporting a group discussion to send back their feedback to weRcircular to create messaging.

What the Action Plan looks like…

Step 1: Create an event poster from the file provided to set a date for a discussion. 

Step 2: Send out the document outlining the outline of questions that require feedback.

Step 3: Watch the film independently or as a group together. A link is provided.

Step 4: Invite your organization and networks to sign the Circular Innovation Council’s Pledge to Take Action for a sustainable future. Pledges made before October 31, 2024 will be entered to win a prize from the CIC.

Step 5: Follow up the film viewing with a discussion to collect feedback to send to weRcircular by November 14.

Step 6: Join the unified discussion hosted virtually by weRcircular to review the synthesized feedback on Thursday Nov 28.

Step 7: weRcircular will share the resulting messages with you to distribute to your networks.
